STREET and URBAN PHOTOGRAPHY
The most fleeting moments from the streets of the different countries of world, the vivid life as it is. Primarily Street Photography is not reportage, it is not a series of images displaying, together, the different facets of a subject or issue. For the Street Photographer there is no specific subject matter and only the issue of life in general, he does not leave the house in the morning with an agenda and he does not visualize his photographs in advance of taking them. Street Photography is about seeing and reacting, almost by-passing thought altogether. Urban photography. Similar to what traditional street photography was, urban photography seeks to encapsulate not just people, but also objects, cityscapes, the surreal. Not only that, but urban photography moves away from the surfaceness of neo-street photography to a photography that critically examines objects, subjects, and landscapes and how they are (dis) connected and constituted by/constitutive of the city.
